Overview 

This article provides information for uploading Journal Entry Line records into a new Journal Entry header record. 

Import Journal Entry Lines

1. Download the Journal Entry Upload Template.
2. Populate it with the relevant data for your Journal Entry.
3. Create a new Journal Entry record in Accounting Seed.
4. Copy the Journal Entry Name (or record ID) and paste that into the Journal Entry column of each line.
5. Save the file as a .csv.
6. Click the Gear icon and select Setup. 
   
   
   
   
7. Enter Data Import Wizard in the Quick Find search textbox. Then, select Data Import Wizard. 
   
   
   
   
8. To start the import process, click Launch Wizard. 
   
   
   
   
9. From the Custom Objects tab, select Journal Entry Lines.
   
   
   
   
10. Select Add new records.
    
    
    
    
11. Drag and drop your CSV file to upload it. 
    
    
    
    
12. Map data fields to your file accordingly.  
13. Click Next.
14. Upload the file and check the result.
