Overview

1099 information is prepopulated from the Account and/or Contact record and flows through to the Cash Disbursement. The 1099 information can be modified using the Update 1099 Info button. 

The following 1099 information can be updated on an individual Cash Disbursement:

• Form 1099 Type   
• Form 1099 Box

Note: The ability to update 1099 information using this article is only applicable for the Lightning UI.

• Update 1099 Information on Multiple Cash Disbursements

Update 1099 Information on a single Cash Disbursement

1. Navigate to Accounting Home and click the Create Entries tab. Then, under the Expenses menu, click Cash Disbursements.
2. Select a Cash Disbursement for which you want to update 1099 information.
3. Click Update 1099 Info.
   
   
   
   The Enter 1099 Information screen displays.

   1. Update the following information, as necessary:
      1. 1. Form 1099 Type - click the drop-down list to override the default form type or select the appropriate form type as one of the following:
            
            1. Eff 2020 - 1099-MISC - includes effective year 2020 and beyond for 1099-MISC form type
            2. Eff 2020 - 1099-NEC - includes effective year 2020 and beyond for 1099-NEC form type
            3. Eff 2001 - 1099-MISC - includes effective year 2001 to 2019 for 1099-MISC form type
         2. Form 1099 Box - click the drop-down list to override the default form box or select the appropriate form box. Selections in the Form 1099 Box display based upon the Form 1099 Type that was selected. 
            Note: If a Form 1099 Type was selected, the Form 1099 Box cannot be set to None.
4. Click Save. The Cash Disbursement screen refreshes.
5. (optional) Review the changes in the 1099 Information section of the screen.
