Overview 

This utility allows the real-time transmission of data to and from your org using webhooks. A webhook provides a way to communicate between two systems or applications in real-time. In Accounting Seed, we use webhooks to update records in your org based upon events that occur in another system and allow data to be queried and sent from your org to the external system.  This Accounting Seed Hub (AS Hub) authorization is a prerequisite for the use of several features including the Financial Reports Hub, Invoice Automation and AP Automation.

Important: The setup articles for features that use the AS Hub contain the complete set of steps including authorizing the AS Hub.  This article contains the basic settings required to authorize the Hub.

Guidance

• The user who authorizes the AS Hub must be someone unlikely to be deactivated. Many organizations have an integration user.
• Before you authorize the AS Hub, you must first login with your credentials.  You cannot authorize the Hub using the "login as" ability.
• The user must have a full Financial Suite license.

Steps to Authorize Accounting Seed (AS) Hub

1.  Assign permissions listed in the individual setup article for the feature.  
   • Assign the "AS Hub Authorization" permission set (available in the Summer '26 Preview release).
   • The AS Full Admin permission set must be assigned to the authorizing user.
   • Also ensure the authorizing user has this required System Permission: Approve Uninstalled Connected Apps.
2. Activate these Remote Site Settings if you are in a production environment:
   1. In a production org, navigate to Setup then search for and click on Remote Site Settings.
   2. In the list check if ASQProd_AccountingSeed exists.
      1. If it is not listed, click New Remote Site and set the Remote Site Name as ASQProd_AccountingSeed.
      2. Set the Remote Site URL as https://asqprod.accountingseed.com
      3. Click Active and click Save.
   3. Similarly, ensure the Remote site URL https://api.accountingseed.com is listed and is active.
3. If you are in a sandbox environment, activate these Remote Site Settings:
   1. In a sandbox org, navigate to Setup then search for and click on Remote Site Settings.
   2. In the list check if https://apitest.accountingseed.com exists.
      1. If it is not listed, click New Remote Site and set the Remote Site Name as APITest_AccountingSeed.
      2. Set the Remote Site URL as Set the Remote Site URL as https://apitest.accountingseed.com.
      3. Click Active and click Save.
   3. Similarly, ensure the Remote site URL https://asqtest.accountingseed.com is listed and active.
4. Navigate to Accounting Home and click the Setup tab. Then, under the Utilities menu, click Accounting Seed Hub.

5. Click the Authorize Accounting Seed Hub button. The Allow Access dialog box displays.
   
   
    

6. Click Allow. The Accounting Seed Hub Authorization page refreshes.

Your Org name is displayed and the button changes to Re-Authorize Accounting Seed Hub. Your org is now ready to send and receive real-time information.
