With Inventory Transfer API you can transfer multiple items in a single step. This article provides an example Flow template for using the inventory transfer API.

Start by navigating to flows and open the Bulk Transfer Example Flow.

This sample flow is autolaunched, but you can use any type of flow. This example identifies an IQA record with an available quantity and transferrs one item each to two different locations at a new warehouse. 

The Set Up First Transfer step populates the values of an Apex-Defined Variable using the Apex Class AcctSeedERP__InventoryTransferModel. The transfer has properties for outboundIqaId, inboundLocationId, quantity, movementDate, and transferLedgerId, and additional properties such as accounting (GL Account) variables and projects/project types.

The Assign first transfer to collection step takes the inventory transfer model and adds it to an Apex-Defined Collection Variable using the Apex class AcctSeedERP__InventoryTransferModel. This variable is used later to pass the collection of transfers to the API. 

In this example, we are doing two transfers, so the steps are repeated in Set up Second Transfer and assign second transfer to collection steps. 

The Perform Transfers step is an Apex Action step using the Inventory Transfer action. 

It takes one input value (transferRequests) and provides a string collection output type for any validation errors that may prevent the transfers from executing. 

The rest of the flow logic iterates over any errors returned by the API and concatenates them into a single string to pass to an email. If no errors occur the transfers API enqueues a batch job to execute the transfers. An email is sent when the job is complete, notifying the user of how many were successful, and automated job result records are created for any errors that occurred.
