Overview

Use the Delete BCRs button on a Cash Receipt record to remove all associated Billing Cash Receipt (BCR) records directly from the Cash Receipt, allowing you to reapply from scratch. For example, if you applied a Cash Receipt to the wrong Billings, you can delete the BCRs, resort the Billing list by Due Date, and reapply. Starting with the Summer ’26 release, the button also removes any Credit Memo balances applied directly to the Cash Receipt.

Important: The Delete BCRs button requires the Winter ’25 release or higher. If the button is not visible on your Cash Receipt record, your administrator may need to add it to the page layout and assign the Delete BCRs custom permission to your permission sets. Delete Billing Cash Receipts

Note: This process only deletes BCR records that are in an open Accounting Period. BCRs in closed Accounting Periods are not affected.

A background process runs to delete as many associated BCR records as possible. If any records remain after the process completes, click Delete BCRs again or manually delete the remaining records.

1. Navigate to Accounting Home > Create Entries > Revenues > Cash Receipts.
2. Select a list view (other than the Recently Viewed list view).
3. Select the Cash Receipt for which you want to delete the Billing Cash Receipts.
4. Click Delete BCRs. The Are you sure dialog box displays.
5. Click Confirm.

The system runs a background process to delete the associated BCR records. This may take a few moments to complete.

When the BCRs are deleted, the Balance is restored on any associated Billings, as long as the Cash Receipt has not been voided. If the Cash Receipt has been voided, deleting the BCRs has no effect on the Billing Balance.

Note: Starting with the Summer ’26 release, if a Credit Memo balance was applied to the Cash Receipt, that application is also deleted and the Credit Memo balance is restored on the Credit Memo. To reapply after deletion, re-apply the Credit Memo balance first via the Cash Receipt Apply screen (under Search for, select Credit Memos), then reapply the Cash Receipt to Billings.
