BDC (Bank Direct Connect) integrates with Salt Edge to import bank transactions. By default, the system maps debits and credits from Salt Edge to BDC according to standard logic.

However, for a few Financial Institution Accounts (FIAs) the imported bank transactions are reversed.  To remedy this situation, follow these steps to bring in your bank transactions correctly.

The Reverse Sign checkbox appears on the BDC > Bank Settings tab in the Map Financial Institution Accounts to Bank GL Accounts table. The checkbox controls whether Salt Edge transactions for that FIA should have debits and credits reversed.

1. Navigate to Bank Direct Connect.
2. For the FIA with the reversed bank transactions, make sure that all imported bank transactions are first deleted. This is a prerequisite for enabling the Reverse Sign checkbox. If you need assistance with this, submit a case for Accounting Seed Support.
3. Click the Bank Settings tab.
4. In the Map Financial Institution Accounts to Bank GL Accounts table, find the Reverse Sign column, and select the checkbox for each FIA you want to reverse credit and debit transactions for.
   
   
5. Click Yes when prompted to Confirm. 
6. Click the Bank Transactions tab, select the same FIA and click on the Update All button.
