Overview

Before submitting a VAT Return, you might want to review a listing of Billing and Payable invoices that were actually extracted from Accounting Seed into VAT Reporting. You can drill-down to view the listing of invoices by sales or purchases, and continue to drill-down into the details on an individual invoice. That way, you can see data that was extracted from Accounting Seed, including information such as the Tax Group/Tax Code, Supplier, Customer, Amounts, and each invoice number with a date and time stamp.

Drill-down to View Invoice Data from a VAT Return

1. Log into your VAT Reporting Account. The Homepage displays. If any open returns are available, they display on Homepage.
   Note: You can also click the Returns drop-down menu and select Open Returns.
   
   
2. Click Details on the return that you want to view.
   
   
   
   
3. To drill-down, click the hyperlink for a Box Number that you want to view the details.
   
   
   
   The listing of invoices that make up the total for the selected Box Number displays.
   
   
   
   
4. To drill-down into a specific invoice, select one and click the hyperlink.
   
   
   
   
5. Click the invoice hyperlink to drill-down into the details for the invoice.
   
   
   
   
6. To attach a document or to add a comment to the selected invoice, scroll down the page to the appropriate section.

View Return by Transactions

1. Log into your VAT Reporting Account. The Homepage displays. If any open returns are available, they display on Homepage.
   Note: You can also click the Returns drop-down menu and select Open Returns.
   
   
2. Click Details on the return that you want to view.
   
   
   
   
3. Click View Return by Transactions.
   
   
   
   
4. Filter the transactions based upon the following:
1. Transaction Type - Sales or Purchases
2. Fixed Assets - True
3. Filter Boxes By Period
5. Click Apply. The listing of invoices displays. Click an invoice hyperlink to view the details. 
   
   
   
   
6. If you want to export the data, scroll down the page and click Export Current table as CSV.
