Overview

For existing Accounting Seed users and customers who use custom permission sets, there are a few configuration changes that need to be made for using the new 1099 Information. 

Note: These changes are not applicable to users who are installing Accounting Seed for the first time.  

Configure the Page Layouts

For help with editing page layouts, refer to the Edit Page Layouts Manually knowledge article.

1. Add the new Update 1099 Info button from the Mobile & Lightning Actions to the detail page in the Salesforce Mobile and Lightning Experience Actions, and to the list view page default layout (select the Search Layouts for SF Classic) on the following objects:  
   1. Account
   2. Contact
   3. Cash Disbursement

2. Remove the old Default 1099 Box field from the Account and Contact detail page layouts.
3. Add the new Default Form 1099 Box field to the Account and Contact detail page layouts.  
   
    

Configure Permission Access

If you are using custom permission sets, complete the steps below:

1. Add the following Apex Classes:
   1. AcctSeed.UpdateDefault1099InfoCntrlExt
   2. AcctSeed.X1099InfoHelper  
2. Add the following Visualforce pages:
   1. AccountUpdateDefault1099Info
   2. ContactUpdateDefault1099Info
   3. CashDisbursementUpdate1099Info
3. Provide Edit access to the following fields on the objects listed below:
   1.  
      • Account
        -- Default Form 1099 Box
        -- Default Form Category Id
        --1099 DBA 
      • Contact
        -- Default Form 1099 Box
        -- Default Form Category Id
        --1099 DBA 
      • Cash Disbursement
        -- Form 1099 Box
        -- Form Category Id
