Overview

Profiles define how users access objects and data, and what they can do within the application.

Complete the steps below to make page layout changes to the following Salesforce standard objects:

• Account
• Asset
• Contact
• Opportunity
• Opportunity Product
• Product
• User 
• Work Order

Use the table below to determine the layouts to add for the related object. Add the core application layout and if you are using Orders & Inventory, add the Accounting ERP layout

Edit Page Layouts via User Profiles

Lightning Interface

1. Log into Salesforce and click Setup.
2. Click the Object Manager tab.
3. Search for and select one of the objects listed above. 
4. Click Page Layouts in the left menu.
5. Click Page Layout Assignment.
6. On the Layout page, click Edit Assignment.
7. Highlight a Profile from the list on the left.
8. Click the Page Layout to use the drop-down menu and select the Accounting Layout.
9. Click Save.

Classic Interface

1. Log into Salesforce and click Setup in the top right-hand corner of the page.
2. In the left menu, under App Setup click Customize.
3. Search for and select one of the objects listed above. 
4. Select Page Layouts.
5. On the Page Layout page, click the Page Layout Assignment button.
6. On the Layout page, click Edit Assignment.
7. Highlight a Profile from the list on the left.
8. Click the Page Layout to use the drop-down menu and select the Accounting Layout.
9. Click Save.
