Types of Accounting Seed Licenses

• Full User: Access to all functionality within Accounting Seed.
  Note: Accounting Seed Admin can still set access rights by role.
  
  
• Limited User: Designed for users who only need to do a small subsection of work in the Accounting Seed app.  
  Examples might include:
  
  • • Warehouse manager
    • Time & Expense User
    • Salesperson who needs to send bills to customers
    • Payables clerk entering purchase orders
      
      
• View Only: This user can only view data, they cannot create, update, or delete data within the Accounting Seed app. Users generally need to see a wide set of data but do not need to change any of it.
  Examples might include:
  
  • • Auditor
    • Executives who only need to run reports to see how the business is doing, without the ability to create or change the reports.
      
      
• Community User: This option is for when customers of Accounting Seed want to give their customers access to certain information without giving them access to their internal org. Access is provided through a “portal”—or “community”—(using Salesforce Experience Cloud) to do things such as review and pay a bill, download a 1099, track time, check inventory, and shipment status.
  Note: This license type requires both a Salesforce Community License and an Accounting Seed Community License to view Accounting Seed data. Learn more about user permissions.  
  

  Types of Community Users Licenses: “Named User” and “Login User.”

  • • Named Users are best for those needing to frequently access the system; this license type allows that specific user to sign in as many times as they want.
      
      Example: a contractor tracking time, checking inventory, and shipment status.

• • • Login Users are best for those needing to infrequently access the system; it is a block of “unnamed” users where each sign in counts towards a company's total allotment.
      
      Example: someone reviewing and paying a bill or downloading a 1099.
      
      

  • Automation License: This license gives users the ability to automate actions in Accounting Seed without necessarily accessing the application itself. If the automated action needs to be done in real-time this would require an Automation License.

    Automation License usage example: A Salesperson closes an Opportunity and this action has an automation that immediately creates a billing in Accounting Seed. The Salesperson does not need to interact more with accounting. This would be a good use-case for the Automation license.
