update Movement Date on POIM
When trying to edit the Movement Date on a POIM, we get an error on trying to save:
You cannot directly update the Movement Date, Ledger, Unit Cost, Quantity, Project, Project Task, Prior Available Quantity, Prior Average Cost, GL Account Variable 1, GL Account Variable 2, GL Account Variable 3, or GL Account Variable 4 field(s).
We thought about Cloning the POIM and then deleting the old POIM, but it won't let us delete the Transactions related to the old POIM.
Any recommendations of what to do if the Movement Date was entered incorrectly?

Hi Charles,
Please try deleting the original movement (Take a screenshot of the details first) and then click on the receive button to re-receive it with the correct date.

We can't delete the original movement since there are Transaction records associated. Error: Your attempt to delete PIM-01064 could not be completed because it is associated with the following transactions.: TRN-108885, TRN-108886
And we can't delete the Transaction records. It gives error: You cannot directly delete a transaction record.
Any other suggestions?

This is now rather odd. I just now tried deleted a POIM. I got the error "Error: Your attempt to delete PIM-01064 could not be completed because it is associated with the following transactions.: TRN-108885, TRN-108886".
Then I clicked Edit and Save. It saved the POIM fine and updated the Last Modified Date.
Then I clicked Delete and it deleted fine. Weird.
Other oddity is that nothing shows up in the Recycle Bin, no POIM or Transaction.

POIM and Transactions are hard deleted when you delete them. I don’t remember exactly why.
Needing to re-save the POIM (or other related records) In order to delete it (sometimes) started with the Iris release. If you ever see that “cannot delete because it’s related to transactions “ error message, try saving the record you’re trying to delete. Either it will save and you can delete it, or it will give you an error message you can address.
