Deleting or archiving inventory movements

How can I delete or archive inventory movements (inbound, outbound and manufacturing) without opening the accounting period of the original transaction? I am looking to archive clutter and I am unable to remove the inventory movements and any residual inventory balance (0 or otherwise).

  I already have opened a Case. I was just throwing the question out there to see if anyone else has any ideas.
