How do I create a customer billing where I only bill a percentage of the total order?

    Hi Rebecca,

    There are a couple of ways that you can do this. You can just create the first billing for the percentage amount and then create the 2nd billing for the remainder. Or, you can just add a comment to the billing that says how much is due. This can be added to the billing comment field or the PDF can be modified to include an extra field called current balance due and have this populated with the percentage amount.

    GRR.  I am sorry.  I am frustrated.  I am struggling to figure out how to modify the PDF.  I have created the extra fields.  Please help me figure out how to add them to the PDF.

    Hi Rebecca,

    I apologize that you are frustrated, can you submit a ticket to our support team so that we can guide you in the right direction here? A ticket can be created at support.accountingseed.com. 

    To add a field to our PDF, a new visualforce page can be created with our out of the box coding and then this is modified to include your custom field. We recommend working with your salesforce admin or one of our service partners for edits to these PDF documents. Another option is using a partner application like Conga or Drawloop to create a PDF through the use of a template instead of coding.
