Hey Brian, yes, that's quite a few steps. I'd look into a document generator tool like Conga Composer. With a click of a dropdown, you can utilize the document generator tool to create any pixel-perfect document (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or PDF).

We are both an AccountingSeed and Conga customer & implementation partner.  I can help point you in the right direction, send me a message if you want to see more.

Another alternative is to use a tool like Xappex's XLConnector.  You can build your financial statements in excel and have embedded queries in your cells to pull the values.

+1 to the XL-Connector recommendation if you're needing information from Salesforce in Excel! www.xappex.com is where you can find it.  They have a coupe different versions. One for Destop PC Excel, one for Microsoft 365 and mac excel and a 3rd for google sheets.

Customer statements can be a trikcky depending on whether you're referring to open balance or activity statements.

An open balance statement that shows unpaid billnigs can be pretty easily recreated in Excel via XL-connector.  The activity statement is a harder since it displays both ibnvoices and cash receipts.   The 365 version of XL-connector can be setup to run on a scheduled basis.

If you're looking to generate excel statements directly from Salesforce, though, the doc gen solution may be the way you want to go.

If you'd like to get real fancy, you can set up a Salesforce Experience Cloud Portal, where your customers can Login and download statements, etc.
