Ad-hoc Inquiries
Either I am missing something, or this is the least functional ERP I have ever used around ad-hoc inquiries. The fact that we don't have P&Ls, Trial Balances, and/or Balance Sheets already on our screen is the first issue, then there's also no functionality to run quick queries.
Best case: Development team should be picturing a pivot table functionality on-screen. No more queuing reports to see what underlying detail is posted to an account.
Alternative case (and the standard case with every other ERP system I have used such as QuickBooks Enterprise, Acumatica, Great Plains and NetSuite): P&L and Balance Sheet financials are quickly generated, if not already populated to screen when selecting them and allow for updates and changes to the row filtering and column sets, as well as immediate drill down details, or there's alternative ad-hoc inquiry capabilities like Smartlists.
This idea of queuing reports and waiting for them to publish and then maybe drilling into the detail you wanted to see is child's play at the level we are supposed be producing. Sorry, I know some of this is not constructive language and clearly underscores my frustration and disappointment rather than the specific ask, but I hope you will forgive me and see the forest through the trees. Fingers crossed!
