    Hi Karen,

Many of our customers add an Email Comment field to the Billing, and/or the Purchase Order objects.  This field would then be included in the email template called from the PDF format.

This allows you to see the individual comment on the record and send it to the customer/vendor in the email.

    Hope this helps.

Along this line: Is there any way to add an attachment to the outgoing email?

One of my clients would like to be able to send other attachments with their PO.

    Hi Rebecca,

Not at this time, but I'll add this as a feature request.

I tend to agree with Rebecca Ralls... I have a use case just like that where I want to send supplemental attachments like the original proposal so that they can audit the invoice line by line.

One idea to solve everyones problem is to redesign the Visualforce page stick the code into a component. Set the Global attribute on the component to allow developers to extend feature set.  I have seen other managed packages allow their customers to copy and break away from their locked down visualforce pages.  The VF page I am refering to is "BillingPDFManager".  Think of this as extending functionality outside of the box not interfering with the AccountingSeed logic.

    Karen,

How do we add that custom field you are talking about? I navigated to the visual force page for the PDF but it is locked down due to being apart of the managed package?

We want to utilize the workflow you mentioned above.

We just went live with Accounting Seed last week.  The email body for the first invoice I emailed looked fake (I wouldn't open it if I received it.)  Even after personalizing the text on the invoice, the look is not professional.  Is there an easy way to save/print a pdf copy of the invoice and email it from my Outlook account?  If there is, it's not obvious to me.

    Hi Cindy,

Can you submit a case on this and provide a little more detail?  Possibly share the file or a screenshot.  If you don't like the look of the OOTB billing pdf, you can create your own, custom form.
