Overview
The fields on the Configurations - Check Print Adjustments screen can all be used to alter the positioning of a check when it’s printed to allow for slight differences in printer and PDF alignment. These fields include the following:
Top Offset
- Date Top Offset - if a value is defined in this field it will offset the date field relative to the current location on the print check PDF. A positive value will move the field down and a negative value will move the field up by the number of millimeters specified.
- Amount Top Offset - if a value is defined in this field it will offset the amount field relative to the current location on the print check PDF. A positive value will move the field down and a negative value will move the field up by the number of millimeters specified.
- Amount Words Top Offset - if a value is defined in this field it will offset the amount in words field relative to the current location on the print check PDF. A positive value will move the field down and a negative value will move the field up by the number of millimeters specified.
- Payee Top Offset - if a value is defined in this field it will offset the payee field relative to the current location on the print check PDF. A positive value will move the field down and a negative value will move the field up by the number of millimeters specified.
- Payee Address Top Offset - if a value is defined in this field it will offset the payee address field relative to the current location on the print check PDF. A positive value will move the field down and a negative value will move the field up by the number of millimeters specified.
- Memo Top Offset - if a value is defined in this field it will offset the memo field relative to the current location on the print check PDF. A positive value will move the field down and a negative value will move the field up by the number of millimeters specified.
Left Offset
- Amount Words Left Offset - if a value is defined in this field it will offset the amount in words field relative to the current location on the print check PDF. A positive value will move the field right and a negative value will move the field left by the number of millimeters specified.
- Payee Left Offset - if a value is defined in this field it will offset the payee field relative to the current location on the print check PDF. A positive value will move the field right and a negative value will move the field left by the number of millimeters specified.
- Payee Address Left Offset - if a value is defined in this field it will offset the payee address field relative to the current location on the print check PDF. A positive value will move the field right and a negative value will move the field left by the number of millimeters specified.
- Memo Left Offset - if a value is defined in this field it will offset the memo field relative to the current location on the print check PDF. A positive value will move the field right and a negative value will move the field left by the number of millimeters specified.
Right Offset
- Date Right Offset - if a value is defined in this field it will offset the date field relative to the current location on the print check PDF. A positive value will move the field left and a negative value will move the field right by the number of millimeters specified.
- Amount Right Offset - if a value is defined in this field it will offset the amount field relative to the current location on the print check PDF. A positive value will move the field left and a negative value will move the field right by the number of millimeters specified.
Edit the Check Print Adjustments
- Navigate to Accounting Home and click the Setup tab. Then, under the Configurations menu, click Check Print Adjustments. The Configurations - Check Print Adjustments screen displays.
Note: Click here to view the above image in full screen. - Click the Pencil icon that displays to the right of Check Print Adjustments. Then, specify a value for any or all of the offsets, as necessary.

I changed the settings according to the instructions above but the checks are not printing any differently.
