Overview
Our Time Card functionality allows you to enter hours worked for the day, keep track of the work projects, and input comments for the hours worked. Time Card functionality can be used in both the Classic and Lightning UIs. For more details, refer to the Enter a Time Card article.
Note: Time Cards have now been implemented for Lightning Experience. All existing functionality continues to be supported in the Classic UI. Users will need to make some configuration changes in order to continue using these features in the legacy Time Card Classic UI. In order to do so, please follow the steps below. If you are using Salesforce’s Lightning UI, but wish to continue using Time Cards in the Classic UI, then please refer to our Set Up Classic UI Time Cards in Salesforce Lightning article.
The Billable and Overtime checkboxes and the Time Card Variables on the Time Card Line object are now controlled by permissions. Existing users who use custom permission sets will need to adjust their users’ permissions and grant the necessary access to these fields.
