Pack Serialized vs Non-serialized Products

Overview

Accounting Seed allows tracking inventory of both serialized and non-serialized products. Serialized versus non-serialized products differ in the way their inventory movements are tracked. 

Serialized products have a separate inventory movement for the total amount ordered.  This allows you to barcode scan each item individually.  When you ship and pack the products, you have the option to choose how many you want to ship at that time.

Note: The Product Code is required when scanning a serialized product.

Non-serialized products have one inventory movement under the total amount ordered.  When you ship and pack those products, the only option you have is to ship them all.
