Accounting Seed Copilot

Overview 

The Accounting Seed Copilot is your in-app AI assistant. This support tool is available from the Accounting homepage, as well as every other page within Accounting Seed. Therefore, you never have to leave the Accounting Seed platform in order to get help. For example, when you are on the Billings list view, you can view Billing related helpful information directly within Copilot, such as how to Create or Clone a Billing or click the View Article link to view the related article in our Knowledge Base. You also have the option to search AI to ask a question(s), and view the response directly from within Copilot.

To access the Accounting Seed Copilot, click the Book icon on the lower right side of the homepage or any page within Accounting Seed.

Existing Accounting Seed customers will need to complete a configuration setup. For more information, refer to the Add Configuration for Copilot section of the Summer ’24 Configuration Changes article.

Add Copilot to a Custom App

If you are using a custom app while working in Accounting Seed, you can add Copilot to the custom app so that it will be accessible from the custom app. Use the steps below to add it to your custom app.

Note: Prior to completing the steps below, existing Accounting Seed customers should complete the Add Configuration for Copilot section in the Summer ’24 Configuration Changes article.

1. Click the Gear icon and select Setup.
2. Enter App Manager in the Quick Find text box, and select it.
3. Select the appropriate app, and on the right side of the row, click the drop-down list and select Edit.
4. Select Utility Items (Desktop Only). Then, click Add Utility Item, and select Accounting Seed Copilot.

5. Select Mirrored from the Utility Bar Alignment drop-down list.
6. Click X to remove the Fallback icon.
7. Change the Panel Width and Height to 1.
8. Select the Start automatically checkbox.

9. Click Save.
10. Access the custom app. The Book icon to open Copilot will display. Click it to open Copilot.
    
    
    
    Note: Accounting Seed Copilot name displays in the taskbar, which is for display only.

Guided Experience

Copilot includes a Guided Experience, which guides and instructs you on how to perform certain tasks. The Guided Experience in Copilot is currently available from the Billings, Payables, and Journal Entries list view pages.

1. Access the Billings, Payables, or Journal Entries list view.
2. Click the Book icon to display Copilot.
3. Click Guided Experience. The sample screen below is the Create a Billing – Guided Experience.
   
   Note: The task name, such as “Create a Billing” is clearly identified for the select Guided Experience.

   You will be guided through the process to perform the task.
   
   
   
   The Guided Experience will continue to guide you through the process to create the new Billing.
