Overview
After Accounting Seed is installed, there will be two new report folders, Accounting Reports and Accounting Dashboard. The Accounting Reports folder will include some helpful reports that can be easily modified based upon your needs.
Note: If you have the Orders & Inventory package installed, the Accounting Seed ERP report folder will also be available.
Best Practice: Create your own folders for reports you frequently use. Also, clone and rename one of the out-of-the-box reports before modifying it so that you will always have access to the original report.
This article provides some basic information about Management Reports and Dashboards. For more extensive information, refer to Salesforce's Trailhead Learning, which include modules such as the following:
Below is a listing of the included reports, a brief description, and guidance on how to use them. If you have any questions about the out-of-the-box reports, please submit a ticket to our Support Team. If you have questions about custom reports, it is best to reach out to the creator of that report.

Accounting Dashboard
The Accounting Dashboard is built on top of pre-configured Salesforce reports. The Accounting Dashboard presents a unified set of data about a series of different reporting topics, with a separate Dashboard for each topic. This provides a quick and easy way to monitor what is happening with system data, such as Billings and A/R Aging (Current Open A/R Aging Dashboard) or Payables and A/P Aging (Current Open A/P Aging Dashboard). Once you review a Dashboard, if more information is needed, a hyperlink to a report for viewing detailed data is available. Benefits of viewing the Accounting Dashboard included the following:
- Timesaving and efficient way to view statistical data at a glance
- Quick way to view key performance indicators
- Provides real-time customer analysis data, which might be used for forecasting
The Accounting Dashboard is available in the Lightning UI. If a Dashboard was created in the Classic UI and it is edited in the Lightning UI, the message below displays. If you choose to continue to edit and save the Dashboard, it will automatically become a Lightning Experience Dashboard. As indicated by the message, a Lightning Experience Dashboard cannot be edited in the Classic UI. If it is a shared Dashboard, you might want to clone it instead.

In the past, you used to supply starter management reports for the balance sheet, but you no longer do. Any reason for that?
For those balance sheet starter reports, you used the Financial Cubes With and Without Financial Cube Transactions as the report type. Is that still the correct report type to use if we want to create a balance sheet report in Salesforce?
Thanks,
