Overview
This release includes a configuration setup, which existing Accounting Seed users must perform prior to installation. There is also an optional configuration change that can be performed by existing and/or new Accounting Seed users.
Configuration Changes
- Enable Track Activities (Allow Activities)
- Add the Delete Source Documents Button
- Add the Clone w/Lines Button
- Add Base Type and Type Values for Bank Rules
- Add the Ledger GL Defaults Button
Enable Track Activities (Allow Activities)
For existing Accounting Users, prior to installing the Spring '23 release, you must enable Track Activities (Allow Activities) on the following 3 objects:
- Billing Aging History
- AP Aging History
- Uncleared Bank Reconciliation Lines
For information on how to enable, refer to the Enable/Disable Field History Tracking and Allow Activities article.
Add the Delete Source Documents Button
While an existing or new Accounting Seed user can add the Delete Source Documents button to the Accounting Period page layout, this should only be performed in accordance with the information that is provided in the Delete Archived Source Documents Guidance article.
- Display an Accounting Period in the Accounting Period screen.
- Click the Gear icon and select Edit Object.
- From the left navigation panel, click Page Layouts. Then, select the Accounting Period layout.
- Click Mobile & Lightning Actions.
- Drag and drop the Delete Source Documents button onto the page layout in the Salesforce Mobile and Lightning Experience Actions section.
- Click Save.
Add the Clone w/Lines Button
(Clone w/Lines for Sales Orders and Purchase Orders)
In order to use the Clone with Lines enhancement on the Sales Order and Purchase Order objects, existing Accounting Seed users (with the Orders & Inventory package installed) will need to add the Clone w/Lines button onto the page layout.
- Display a Sales Order.
- Click the Gear icon and select Edit Object.
- From the left navigation panel, click Page Layouts. Then, select the Sales Order layout.
- Click Mobile & Lightning Actions.
- Drag and drop the Clone w/Lines button onto the page layout in the Salesforce Mobile and Lightning Experience Actions section.
- Click Save.
- Repeat the above steps with a Purchase Order displayed and selecting the Purchase Order layout.
Add Base Type and Type Values for Bank Rules
In order to use Base Type and Type values from Bank Transactions as conditions when creating a Bank Rule, existing users will need to perform the steps below.
- Click the Gear icon and select Setup.
- Click the Object Manager tab.
- In the Quick Find textbox, enter Bank Rule.
- Select the Bank Rule Condition object.
- Click Fields & Relationships. Then, select the Target field.
- Scroll down to the Values picklist and click New.
- In the textbox, add Base Type. Then, press Enter and add Type.
- Click Save.
- From the Base Type value, click Edit. Then, add the API Name as: AcctSeed__Base_Type__c.
- Click Save.
- From the Type value, click Edit. Then, add the API Name as: AcctSeed__Type__c.
- Click Save.
- Scroll back up to the Field Dependencies section and click Edit.
- Click View All to see the two new values (Base Type and Type).
- Click Include Values.
- Select Equals as the operator for Base Type.

- Does Not Contain
- Equals
- Is Blank
- Starts With
- Click Save.
Add the Ledger GL Defaults Button
In order to access the Default GL Accounts screen from the Ledger screen, existing users will need to add the Ledger GL Defaults button on to the Ledger page layout.
- Navigate to Accounting Home and click the Setup tab. Then, under the Ledger menu, click Ledgers.
- Select a Ledger to display.
- Click the Gear icon and select Edit Object.
- Click Page Layouts and select the Ledger page layout.
- Select Mobile & Lightning Actions.
- Drag and drop the Ledger GL Defaults button onto the page layout in the Salesforce Mobile and Lightning ExperienceActions section.
- Click Save.
- Refresh the Ledger page. The new Ledger GL Defaults button displays. Click this button to access the Default GL Accounts screen for the selected Ledger.

Spring ’23 Release
- The Default GL Accounts screen can be accessed from the Ledger screen.
- Purchase Orders can be cloned with lines. Existing users will need to add the Clone w/Lines button onto the page layout.
